Recently I have purchased or have been given some new treasures. I have also disregarded some. I will hopefully have my online library updated soon. If you are looking for a good rescource for keeping track of your books, start your own account at www.gurulib.com

School
Officially registered (and paid!) for my first two classes. I'm praying for Thursday evening's off so I can go to class. Paid for my pyschology book, needing to pay for my comp book, and I'm not sure why I'm waiting to do that. Very excited, and we shall see how this first semester of college goes. The next few months are going to be very busy. Very. May God be glorified and exalted.
By the way I really like this quote.
Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

May I change and not do things over and over for the sake of pride.
Now onto bed.
Trust in the Lord
I recommend Josh Harris' message on trusting in God. You can find it on the Metro life website at www.metrolife.org
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight"- Proverbs 3: 5-6
Let us be wholly leaning on Jesus name .

On a roll..
On a roll.
Like butter on bread.
I want to sign up for classes ASAP. I meet with a counselor tomorrow. Hopefully after meeting with him/her it can be determined if I need the placement test or not. If not I am looking at an A.S or an A.A.S degree in "preschool specialization" If I go for my A.A.S I will (hopefully) be taking English Composition 1 and Introduction to Physiology. Should be fun:D If I go for my A.S degree I'm not sure what I'll take first, as I haven't really looked at the course schedule yet, except to know that an A.S transfers to a B.S. If I need my placement test, I might take a prerequisite class and a general education class. That's the plan Stan.
However I must admit, these might change.
As the saying goes: Change is here to stay. And that is a good thing.

Mark the calenders..it's an official holiday.
Today marked the "official" winter season for me. That is wholly due to the fact I purchased my first "christmas" gift of the season. No it's not for you. And I know your dying to know what it is, and who it's for.
Sorry.

FLOCS
I had a great time at the National Educators Conference sponsored by FLOCS> (FLOCS= Florida League of Christian Schools). Esther Wilkison brought a workshop for BJU press titled "Winning the Battle for the Mind: Help Students to think Critically in a Biblical Worldview" This workshop was the most beneficial to me, not only as a teacher, but a foundation for me as Christian evangelist, a teacher investing in the future generations at work, and through my church body, and instrumental in teaching my future family. She explained the difference between two Historical views of Christian Education, as well as how to instruct our children to "think critically" in a correct manner. This coincided with Dr.Bryan Smith's General Session of Biblical Intergration: The Pitfalls and Promise. He explained how to properly intergrate God's word in every subject and grade we teach in a way that is helpful to the students and teachers. Rather than "stapling" scripture to events that happen, he gave us a framework of how to see events, and the world through a biblical worldview. Both Dr. Smith and Esther Wilkison work at BJU press.
Other great workshops included JW Synder's "Music and Movement Activities for Math and Literacy", Beth Mueller and Heather Frook's "Happenin Afterschool: Too much fun to go home!", Heather Downing's "Autism: Early Detection=Early Intervention" and Dr. Bryan Smith's "Reclaiming History for God's Glory".

:( Wow...I need to study.
I just took three practice tests for the college placement test.
Reading practice 1 I received an 80%
Algerbra practice 1 didn't even give me a grade because the page didn't go through :(
Sentence Structure practice 1 I received a 66%.
Wow. Teaching Preschoolers have really rubbed off on me! I need to study!!!

Why do I get anxious about change, when it is so familar?
New seasons. Once again.
Last "season" was a new job change.
This "season"?
Going back to school.
Its been four years since High School. Two years since Lake Tech. And now...LSCC will (hopefully) become my friend.
Unless of course it eats my wallet. Then I might just have to pick a fight.
Actually I just need to be content in God's provision and his soveriengty.
I hate waiting. Lord teach me patience!

God's Everlasting Love
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be [8] against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. [9] 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord
